Safeguarding

The community at St Paul’s Knightsbridge is committed to creating a safe place for worshippers, visitors, staff and volunteers, particularly for children and adults who are vulnerable.

Reporting a safeguarding concern

The information you pass to us when reporting a safeguarding concern will be treated confidentially. However, if we have concerns about the safety of a child or vulnerable adult, we may share relevant information with statutory agencies, the Diocese of London, or other parishes.

In person

If you are in church and you or someone you know is at risk of abuse, harm, neglect or exploitation, please find a member of the clergy or staff team who will be able to help. Similarly, if you witness an event you find worrying whilst at church, please make a member of our team aware as soon as possible.

By email

You may report a Safeguarding concern in writing to David Hayton, Safeguarding Officer, by emailing safeguarding@spkb.org.

By phone

During working hours, please phone us on 020 7201 9999 and say that you would like to speak to someone about a safeguarding concern, or that you or someone else needs help. You will be put through to a member of the team. If they are not immediately available, someone will call you back as soon as possible.

Outside of working hours, the Christian safeguarding charity, 31:8, runs a free 24 hour helpline. You can contact them on 0303 003 1111.

As with any emergency, call 999 if someone is at immediate risk.
