Lent Appeal 2022
Posted on: Thursday 31st March 2022
Lent is a season for outward generosity. We have traditionally worked with the other churches in London by contributing to the Bishop of London’s Lent Appeal. Some people choose to make a substantial one-off gift for the whole season; others like to give an amount perday for the 40 days of Lent.
Either way, you can donate through St Paul’s to this important annual appeal.
The Diocese of London Lent Appeal for 2022 is
focussing on raising awareness around issues of mental
health & wellbeing for adults and young people, along
with domestic abuse.
Hosted by the Compassionate Communities team, the
aim of the appeal is to cultivate more compassionate
communities by equipping churches to create safe
spaces for those in their parish and promoting holistic
wellbeing for all staff and church members too.
This appeal sits very comfortably alongside our own
Healthy Healing Hub project, of which more in our
next edition.
This Lent we will be raising money to support three
partner charities who are all offering resources and
bespoke training to churches as we work to achieve
this:
Renew Wellbeing – helping churches create safe
spaces where it’s ok to not be ok
Restored – equipping the Church to end domestic
abuse and create a safe place for survivors of abuse
Be Headstrong – supporting young people and those
who come alongside them in their social, emotional
and spiritual development (Part of Youthscape)
At St Paul’s Knightsbridge we have been successful at
being one of the most generous supporters of the
Diocesan Lent Appeal for many years. Please again
give generously this year. You can make an offering in
the Sunday plate, or online by clicking this link, and
marking your donation “Lent Appeal 2022”.
